Airport Chabad Center
Chabad of Moldova established a permanent presence at Kishinev International Airport in order to serve Jewish tourists and travelers visiting or passing through Moldova. Managed by Rabbi Shmuel Zalmanov, the Chabad House at the airport provided essential services to passengers throughout the year.
Services provided included:
- Tefillin Placement – Passengers were able to fulfill the mitzvah of tefillin on weekdays.
- Kosher Information – Travelers received guidance regarding kosher food, synagogues, and other essential services.
- Holiday Assistance – During holidays such as Hanukkah, Purim, and Sukkot, the Chabad House helped travelers experience the spirit of the holiday even while away from home.
- General Traveler Support – Assistance with local information, directions, and guidance when needed.
Important Update: Unfortunately, the Chabad House at the airport is not currently active. We will update, with G-d’s help, if there are any future developments.
The Chabad House at the airport served as a warm and welcoming Jewish presence for every Jew passing through the gates of Moldova.
