Rabbi Shmuel and Chaya Zalmanov
Rabbi Shmuel and Chaya Zalmanov serve at Chabad House Kishinev with dedication, supporting the local Jewish community together with the many guests, tourists, Israeli students, and business visitors who come to Moldova.
As part of their mission with Chabad Moldova, they devote themselves to strengthening Jewish identity, providing a warm home for every Jew, and developing vibrant community life in the capital city of Kishinev.
Rabbi Shmuel Zalmanov is involved in organizing prayers, Torah classes, Shabbat meals, holiday events, and offering spiritual and practical assistance to local Jews and visitors alike. He serves as a central address for travelers, Israeli students, businesspeople, and anyone seeking connection with the Jewish community in the city.
Alongside him is Chaya Zalmanov, a full partner in the communal work. She is a dedicated educator and serves as director of the Chabad kindergarten in Kishinev, where she invests greatly in educating the younger generation in a warm and values-based Jewish environment. In addition, she works with women, families, and children, helps organize community events, offers hospitality, and creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere at Chabad House.
Together, they work to expand Jewish life in Kishinev with personal care, dedication, and concern for every individual.
