Rabbi Shneur Zalman and Chana Tiefenbrun

Rabbi Shneur Zalman and Chana Tiefenbrun are among the Chabad emissaries in Moldova, serving with dedication to strengthen Jewish life throughout the country.

As part of their mission, they devote themselves to reaching Jewish communities in different cities, strengthening Jewish identity, creating personal connections with Jews of all ages and backgrounds, and bringing the light of Judaism even to remote locations.

The Tiefenbrun family is responsible for a variety of special projects within Chabad Moldova, promoting communal, educational, and social initiatives across the country.

They also lead and manage youth and young adult programs, including:

  • CYP – a framework for Jewish young professionals and young adults
  • CTEEN / ENERJEW – educational, social, and experiential programs for Jewish children, teenagers, and youth

Rabbi Shneur Zalman Tiefenbrun works extensively to reach Jews living in smaller communities, strengthen their connection throughout the year, and provide spiritual and practical support when needed.

Alongside him is Chana Tiefenbrun, a full partner in their mission. She is involved in programs for women, families, and children, helps organize community events, educational initiatives, and holiday activities, and contributes greatly to creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere wherever they go.

Together, they work to strengthen Jewish communities throughout Moldova with dedication, personal care, and concern for every Jew.

Through their efforts, many Jews in distant towns and smaller communities are able to reconnect with their heritage, enjoy a supportive communal framework, and gain access to essential Jewish services.

Rabbi Shneur Zalman and Chana Tiefenbrun continue their Chabad mission in Moldova with devotion and serve as a warm and open address for Jews throughout the country.
